The Slim-Fit cooling unit is designed to facilitate the installation of boat cooling systems, especially in tight and difficult-to-reach spaces.
Slim-Fit is based on a new cooling concept with a patented evaporator structure at its core. The structure consists of a powder-coated copper tube and an aluminum cooling fin. The solution was awarded a DAME Awards in 2024, which highlights its innovation and importance for the development of the industry.
In the implementation of boat cooling systems, limited space and complexity of installation are key challenges. Slim-Fit meets these challenges with a compact structure and Plug & Play installation, which reduces work steps. The pre-filled evaporator passes through small openings, eliminating the need for quick connectors and welding. Simplifying the structure reduces the risk of leaks and improves the safety of the system.
The Slim-Fit cooling unit operates with a Secop BD Nano compressor and 12/24 V DC voltage. The whole combines high cooling capacity and small space requirements. The total weight of the device is approximately 6 kg, making it one of the lightest in its class.
Slim-Fit utilizes the environmentally friendly R1234yf refrigerant and the structure is designed to minimize the risk of leakage. The solution supports the development trend of the F-GAS regulation and meets the increasing environmental requirements of the marine industry.
The cooling unit is suitable for sailboats, confined storage spaces and insulated coolers. The solution fits equally well in OEM projects as in retrofits.
